Shopper turnout hit record high over Black Friday weekend, retail trade group says

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/29/shopper-turnout-hit-record-over-black-friday-weekend-trade-group-says.html

The group said 196.7 million shoppers turned out from Thanksgiving Day to Cyber Monday.

That topped the turnout of 179 million during last year's holiday weekend, it said.

The NRF, which began tracking the figure in 2017, had forecast a turnout of 166.3 million for this year.

So many are hanging by a thread. Hopefully this gives them more room for a while.

how republicans are misreading the voters of this Country and I daresay, the pent up demands due to COVID/shortages caused by COVID/everything associated w/ COVID.

There were predicting doom and gloom over the midterm elections, due to Inflation (one of the things). I guess we can put a sock in it now.

Another sign of changing times too, is that trump is finding the waters that he's dipped his 2024 toes in a heck of a lot colder. There was an article out on DU yesterday that despite evidence to the contrary, that things weren't so toasty for tRUMP to run again in 2024, he still went ahead, despite the disaster of the midterms staring at in the face, and still announced.

Some republicans are smart enough to read the writing on the wall and thus see yet again, another potential loss in 2024, with perhaps IMHO even more further losses of Senate and House seats. All due to tRUMP, the moron that couldn't say no or stay away. Like a spoiled child, you almost have to treat him like a spoiled child and distract him with candy or something equivalent. Someone have any ground up Adderall?
