Seeking DU Legal Peer assessment on the credibility of Vox News article?

My recently acquired tablet seems to be a magnet for all manner of news feeds, which generally I ignore, swipe the page away wihout looking. However yesterday, a headline caught my attention:

"A Trump Judge seized control of ICE, and the Supreme Court will decide whether to stop him"

The first paragraph reads as follows:

Judge Drew Tipton's order in United States vs Texas is completely lawless. Thus far, the Supreme Court has given him a pass.

It's a very lengthy article giving quite a stunning and eye popping backdrop, but obviously there is a certain pov.

I'm not familiar with the story or Vox news for that matter.

What say you, who knows enough about this matter?
