2. I remember Reagan's speech at Pointe du Hoc

Free nations had fallen, Jews cried out in the camps. Millions cried out for liberation. Europe was enslaved and the world prayed for its rescue.”
“Here . . . the rescue began.”

There are graves in Arlington (across from Congress) of those who died in that war and how any politician (looking at you GOP) could not speak out at the Nazis lovers and antisemitic purveyors is beyond disgusting.

6. "Fuck them"? Those in the graves? Reagan, for an eloquent plea to remember AntiFa heroes?

"Their"? Who? What "attempt"?

Kanye? The post was about Reagan. Not Kanye.

You post is so exceedingly terse that it has lost its context and doesn't make any cogent point.

9. I'm saving this for future reference. There are several past posts I've read when it would apply.

I might just start referring to it as "The Rule de La Paz."

10. Here you go: "Excessive terseness fails." :)

Terseness can be good, sometimes.

Or you could put it as

"Excessive terseness confuses readers".

But I did enjoy writing the sentence you excerpted and I feel it has a charming pithiness of its own.

12. Glad you asked, when Reagans' staffers trying passing off the Whermacht who died in N France

as honorable men, I feel anger. My father in law, of blessed memory, was second wave.
I believe that the Reagan handlers were an early attempt at smoothing over the great differences between the Allied invasion forces and the Nazis who held France in 1945.

The Allied troops who died in Northern France deserved every good thing said, the Germans deserved damnation.

I am glad you asked, an uncle, mom's side, rests in Northern France, his sister, my grandma, never got past that.

13. Yes, he went on to Bitburg cemetery

In 1985, Bitburg came to international attention due to a ceremonial visit by U.S. President Ronald Reagan and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl to the nearby Kolmeshöhe Military Cemetery – which among its 2,000 graves included those of 49 members of the Waffen-SS (see Bitburg controversy). Punk band the Ramones wrote the song "Bonzo Goes to Bitburg" in response to Ronald Reagan's trip. A young Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of future President Bill Clinton and future First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, wrote a letter urging President Reagan not to visit the town.[3]

14. 'Silence is complicity': Biden calls on political leaders to denounce antisemitism

I am so proud of having a good man like President Obama in the White House.

President Joe Biden on Friday called out "political leaders" who have not strongly denounced antisemitism, saying that their "silence is complicity."

"I just want to make a few things clear: The Holocaust happened. Hitler was a demonic figure. And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should be calling out and rejecting antisemitism wherever it hides. Silence is complicity," the president wrote on Twitter.

His comments follow a widely criticized interview Thursday between conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and the rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. Ye praised Hitler, expressed his admiration for Nazis, made antisemitic jokes and talked about his recent dinner at Mar-a-Lago with former President Donald Trump, which was also attended by Nick Fuentes, a far-right figure who has espoused white nationalist views.
