Of course, she hasn't said a damn thing about her Anti-Semitic dad, or the fact he associates with outspoken Anti-Semites and Holocaust Deniers.
Not being part of her Failure of a father's 2024 campaign does not make her a decent person.
Fucking Coward! Is she afraid of losing her Trust Fund when he dies? She's a Piece Of Shit, just like her corrupt husband and her corrupt father.
Just another Phony Orthodox Jew, hiding behind her religion, like all the other typical Right Wing religious assholes.

(629 posts)That women could not convert to Judaism, even if they marry into a Jewish family. Men, however, could convert. A women had to be born Jewish. Tue or false???

(42,383 posts)There are various "denominations" of Judiaism - reform, conservative, orthodox, etc. The standards for converting vary from one to the next (and sometimes within a denomination), but all of them allow women to convert.

(2,466 posts)But in Israel, its not that simple: Youre only Jewish if the rabbinic authorities say youre Jewish
Israels chief rabbis made a proclamation: They were looking to change the guidelines on which Jewish conversions they recognize.
According to the proposed guidelines, they said in a statement, Ivanka Trump would be certified Jewish.

(90,740 posts)But I also find myself guilty of it when something is so egregious that surely, just surely, something will be said now.
And even in duress, it is wrong. I know it. You know it. Other people know it.
But we sometimes voice our despair, our outrage, our confusion, without checking where it is coming from.
A single individual, no matter how high profile, does not represent everyone in any given group.
Being high profile makes them a target for every emotion held - and not all of those emotions are unbiased or free of prejudice.
A fair and deserved critique all too often is mingled with the unfair - the biased, the prejudicial, the bigoted.
For some, getting the bigotry in is the point. The outrage of the day is merely an excuse for them to do so. Something to glom on to.
For others, they don't see, can't see, or refuse to see, where the root of it actually lies.

I wouldn't call her silence complicity.
What more likely defines her silence is that she's been so done with her dad since his term was over and he denied it.
Why do you accord her so much influence over her white nationalist dad; she's probably as put out with him as you are, but knows he's desperate to keep his base for 2024. Why do you demand she prove her faith when things are going badly enough for all of them.
from wikipedia
Trump and her husband made a pilgrimage to the grave of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a popular prayer site, shortly before her father's election victory.[225][232] On May 22, 2017, the couple also accompanied her father on his first official visit to Israel as president. As part of the trip to Israel, her father became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Western Wall .[233] Ivanka also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in western Jerusalem and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem during the trip.[234]

Is your issue about religion being used as a political tool and not being used as a political tool? Because religions have been embroiled in American politics since Father Coughlin in the 30's.

(9,998 posts)I myself am Jewish. I just find her to be contemptible in general. She's obviously a convert to Judaism, but my point is that if her religion were of value to her, she would have no problem condemning her father, and the Slime that he associates with.
But of course, she won't do that, because like the rest of her family, she's a Hypocrite. Incapable of calling out anti-semitism and Holocaust denial.

(69 posts)She converted to Orthodox Judaism in 2009 (source: Wikipedia). Therefore she is a Jew.
She has the nerve to call herself a Jew because she is one.
Find something else to criticize her about.
If you're disappointed that a Jew would behave the way she does, say so. If you think she's a hypocrite, say so.
A bad Jew is still a Jew.

(14,176 posts)that's destined to fail. My guess is that she's intentionally distancing herself from anything "political"--although I'm not sure how one would construe antisemitism as political--and stay out of the spotlight for a while.
TBH, I don't want to hear from her. I'm sure she'd say "as a Jew, I..." and it would make me want to break things
