(18,880 posts)a man who's running for one of the most important positions in the federal government, has to be accompanied by two handlers so he doesn't say or do anything totally ridiculous, that doesn't instill a tremendous amount of confidence in his abilities with anyone but the most rabid-right voters.
And we can lay this, once again, right at the feet of Donald Trump. Thank you, Donnie.

(14,941 posts)This has been planned for decades and this spasm is just one manifestation of the corruption. Whether it can all be laid at the feet of a rotten political party or external forces that forced the rot. tfg is just the pustulant head of an infection that has roots deep into the body politic (and financial).
Please don't give the tub-o-lard credit for anything other than being the genetic offspring of some very imperfect people.
Otherwise, I agree!

(18,880 posts)They're supposed to be keeping an eye(s) on him and protect him from himself. I guess there's only so much a human being can do. If Herschel insists on talking there's nothing anyone can do.

(5,781 posts)Good! Now if you live in GA and you haven't voted, get to the polls. Don't get complacent just because Bannon says one thing. Vote vote vote....in numbers that can't be questioned.

(667 posts)He's obviously no dummy. And yet he buys into the dumbest fucking takes out there. His whole thought process is built out of conspiratorial thinking. During the Arizona counting, I would watch Charlie Kirk's stream because it was interesting watching them cope, and they'd have him on and he would just devolve into the most nonsensical gibberish over the results that you could ever come up with. Even Charlie wasn't so divorced from reality.
Maybe it's all the alcohol. Maybe he just truly got sucked down the rabbit hole and is now so lost that there's no hope of finding his way back.
But while other rightwing political strategists, guys like Karl Rove and even Lee Atwater, were awful people, who peddled awful things, they also seemed to be grounded in a level of reality where they could see the truth (tho, Rove did lose it on election night in 2012 over Ohio).
Oh well. Dude is fascinating and weird.
