If people recall the Greek/Egyptian/Semitic/Babylonian and so on influences you’ll find there were a lot of similar stories where there wasn’t just a singular ‘The’ son of God. But I digress. Also if he were around just apply some DC/Marvel style rule sets to think about why he couldn’t/shouldn’t use powers at certain times/places.

And also yes, there is a heck-ton of money involved with various favored interpretations. And sometimes nazis… goddamned fucking nazis.
