Iranian athlete's family home demolished by officials, media outlet says Hande Atay Alam

The backwardness of this regime is mindboggling to say the least. Hard to compete with one's head completely covered when rock climbing. Is it any wonder in Iran why people are protesting its government?

Source:CNN

The family home of Iranian rock climber Elnaz Rekabi has been demolished, according to the pro-reform news outlet IranWire, after she rose to international prominence this fall for competing with her head uncovered.

Rekabi competed without her hijab in South Korea in October, just as anti-regime protests swept Iran following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini while in the custody of the morality police for allegedly not wearing her hijab properly.

Some Iranian demonstrators saw Rekabi as a symbol of the national uprising calling for greater freedoms for women. However, human rights groups expressed fears for her safety when she returned to Tehran.

or isn't under arrest. Since returning to Iran she's made some social media posts to reassure those concerned about her wellbeing that would not offend the government.

First rule of truth journalism is to report the facts in an unbiased fashion and let the readers decide. This report first appeared on CNN today by Hande Atay Alam based on another shady source iranwire. First rule is already broken by reporting it as a fact. A fact desired by Mrs Alam apparently. I happen to be able to read and understand Farsi and follow news from both inside Iran and outside. I read local news and national. I can tell you there are tons of lies, and lots of twisted news and totally fake ones. There was a news circulating for weeks regarding a prisoner claiming his both legs were cut in prison and he was dying as a result of heart attack. The dude showed up this morning in front of cameras looking very healthy and definitely walking on his feet. They had to fold his pants to show his feet!

Back to the news regarding Mr Rekabi. First of all this news belong to about 5 months ago and reported then- just look at the fresh green color of leaves. The structure showing in video is not her family residence. It’s a structure in orchard outside of city of Zanjan. Some people have small orchard/garden outside city and sometimes make a makeshift hut or sometimes small Vilas to stay for few nights in times of produce. This small hut belonging to her brother apparently part of another structure or house which had been built illegally outside their land. It’s like building part of your house in somebody else’s land or within prohibited zone by city ordinance. Based on those news in local papers reported then he had ignored city notices and warnings several times. Then he tried to raise the point that her sister is a member of national team by showing her medals in order to gain some favor from city ordinance inspector and crew and sway them.

At the time of this incident Mr Rekabi has not even attended her recent completion nor had the hijab protest.

It’s a shave CNN right now has turned to flagship of fake news regarding Iran.
