Video: Truck tumbles over side of freeway in Santa Clarita, lands on wreckage from earlier crash

Video is in the link.

Unbelievable! And this person happened to be recording it.

As rain soaked Southern California's roadways overnight, a series of three dangerous crashes were reported at the same spot in Santa Clarita, including a truck flipping over the side of a guardrail and crashing down on top of wreckage from an earlier collision.

...
It shows a box truck advertising Toyo Tires apparently losing control on the upper roadway and tumbling upside down over the guardrail onto southbound truck bypass lanes below. There were already several wrecked vehicles, including a big rig, on the roadway at that spot. The box truck fell upside down and landed on top of an SUV and the already-overturned big rig.

Was going from Woodland Hills to Fresno for cousin’s 50th birthday party. Took 405 to 5 to 99. Traffic through the 405 & 5 merge was stop and go for a good 30 minutes…..and some asshole big rig driver didn’t take the truck bypass and ended up in the lane 3 going like 40MPH because it was an uphill grade and he wouldn’t move over because other trucks were in lanes 1 &!2 and I guess he didn’t want to lose the meager speed he had. That caused more problems as traffic backed up behind him (including me). Drivers get frustrated and make stupid moves to get around him. Finally he made moved over when he was on the downgrade. I didnt try to pass home because I’m not STUPID but I did give him the finger as I passed.

Later on the final downgrade of the grapevine the fog was so thick we were going like 30mph with everyone putting on their hazards…the fog was so thick I don’t think I could see more than 50’or 60 feet. I was a nervous wreck!

I’ve driven it a bit but it’s been many years now since the last time and I’ve never had fog before. It was VERY scary. You made the right decision to stay home.
