My paranoid side won't relax until 20 Jan 2013. I have never doubted Mr Obama would lose the election, just that he would not be elected. Early projections aside, fraud might still rear its head.

My more realistic side is pleased, not just because Mr Obama won in the face of such negativity, but because other elections and ballot initiatives have overwhelmingly rejected the Republican message. This gives me hope for the future of the country. The only fly in the ointment is that at the Congressional level, bugs such as Cantor, Boehner, and their ilk have won again, in many cases by wide margins. But I am happy with my unegged beer.

All the stress, all the worry, all the "what ifs" from the last few months - GONE in a few moments of utter joy. I cried even more than I did when Obama was elected in 2008 - it's a GOOD feeling!
