(57,806 posts)In Germany, they usually say, "schöne Feiertage," in France, it's "bonnes fêtes," in the Netherlands "prettige feestdagen," in Barcelona, "bones festes," etc. Only the Poles and the Russians still actually use "Christmas" in their holiday greeting

(2,806 posts)mostly democratic areas and we have Advent calendars mixed up with Happy Holidays, Kwanzaa, etc. items, and people say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays interchangeably. Somehow tolerance seems to work really well, because everybody's happy.
