No, not for his role in stealing classified documents, not for his role in trying to overturn the Georgia election, not for his role in trying to overthrow our government, for voter fraud.
Meadows was registered to vote in 3 states, simultaneously. He voted based on his residency being some ratty trailer in the woods.
Does anyone truly believe that Mark Meadows will be arrested?

(15,935 posts)I cant speak to any specific state crimes he might be charged with, but Meadows criminal exposure must be massive.
Meadows is the logical choice for DOJ to put the squeeze on, as he in the Center of it all.
I would expect Meadows to be indicted/flip before Trump is indicted, at least on Fed charges for January 6.

(22,127 posts)I apologize, I'm not up on the rules.
The following was in my post if you click on it;
"Public records indicate Meadows had been registered to vote in Virginia and North Carolina, where he listed a mobile home that he never owned and may never have visited weeks before casting an absentee 2020 presidential election ballot in the state. Trump, for whom Meadows was serving as chief of staff in Washington at the time, won the battleground state by just over 1 percentage point.
Last month, North Carolina Attorney General Josh Steins office asked the State Bureau of Investigation to investigate."
I am not a lawyer but I assume one must be a resident of a state to vote there.

(15,935 posts)I mean technically, he might get cited, and then fined. I dont expect him to be incarcerated for having multiple registrations in multiple states.

(4,913 posts)He is facing multiple State and Federal charges. He is a well known cowardly backstabber who is surely a big target to get to turn on Trump and others. Stay tuned.

(22,127 posts)He is one of the few Trump allies who I think will flip, if pushed. No immunity, indict him and put the squeeze on him.

(22,127 posts)Unlawful Absentee Voting
Under O.C.G.A. § 21-2-573, a person who votes or attempts to vote by absentee ballot for a primary or election knowing that they are not qualified to vote will be guilty of unlawful absentee voting in Georgia. The penalty for unlawful absentee voting in Georgia is a fine up to $100,000, a prison term between one and ten years, or both. Additionally, it will be a felony conviction.

(15,935 posts)Or was he merely fraudulently registered in that state?

(43,322 posts)Nothing in the linked article suggests that a decision on whether to pursue criminal charges would be made by today. In the real world, things don't typically move that fast.
But you managed to get a bunch DUers all excited, so there's that.
