(33,940 posts)1. This is the day my mom was found to have terminal cancer.
She only survived about four more weeks after that. I just mentioned it in the airline bombing thread. Because seeing that wreck brings everything back. I spent Christmas week in the intensive care waiting room while she was on a ventilator. Over 30 years and I miss her every day. My heartfelt sympathies to you

You lost your mom during the holiday season. Remembering it every year must be excruciatingly difficult.
(Of course, there's never a good time of year to have to go through that kind of loss. I just imagine that what should be a joyful time of year... isn't so much joyful for you.)
