Stalwart GOP apologist Cokie Roberts Quick to Point Out How Winning is a Problem for Obama

She couldn't get on the air fast enough to claim last night as a de facto victory for Republicans. Two of her main points?

1. Obama risks losing the support of the wealthy, aging white electorate.

2. He really needs to work with Republicans if he wants to get anything done.

Thanks, Cokie. I knew that there must be some way to see this as a GOP triumph. I was worried that I'd have to go to Fox News to hear it, but there you were on NPR, right on cue.

She hasn't been relevant for 40 years, if then....I still laugh when I remember her poutrage over Bill's affair with Monica Lewinsky. "It simply isn't DONE!, " she sniffed...

Yeah, right, nobody in office f*cks around...

Rape-publicans was echoed by other vicious digs at Obama by others on the panel like George Will. Obama's win was based, according to ABC, on 'negative campaigning.' It was really incredible (in a "I can't believe they're being so ugly to Obama" way). Stephanopolis did NOTHING to counter the pro-GOP shilling and anti-Obama slander. Watched from 6 p.m. PST to 11 p.m. PST pretty much non-stop.

I will be boycotting ABC and Disney for the next 4 years.

I flipped over to Fox immediately after Ohio was called so that I coiuld bask in their tears of sorrow, and there is Megan Kelley talking about how its the President that has to change, because America picked the Repubs for the House don't you know.

From Inskeep (on NPR) this morning too. It's only been recently that I've realized what a gigantic tool he is.

We're on to the debt ceiling and how Obama is going to cause us all doom.

In most of his interviews he comes across as incredibly false, especially if he decides to guffaw at some mildly amusing comment from the interviewee.

Strictly speaking, I wasn't surprised to hear Roberts give her spiel, but it still makes me want to hurl.

He says they whined to him that it was all Sandy's fault...they had momentum, they thought they were on their way, but then that damned hurricane sapped all their energy. And Obama was mean and ran nasty ads about them. But, surprisingly, the Fox guy didn't buy it. He said they had a lot bigger problems than just Sandy or Obama's ads, and pointed out that Obama one all of the key demographics they said they'd win, and Romney only had old white men. LOL! I love the smell of losing GOPpers in the morning.

When it comes to a Democratic victory, she's the reliable MSM-preferred "Democratic" pundit who can be counted on to always find a way to help the GOP snatch themselves a victory from the jaws of resounding defeat.

Obama has bent over backwards trying to get consensus and trying to find compromises to get Republicans to do something, anything with regards to jobs. They have refused. It is now their turn to come to the table.
