Lord, thank you for no more Joe Walsh and Allen West.

Lord, thank you for no more Joe Walsh and Allen West. The IQ of the U.S. House just grew by dozens of points. And, thank you for the people who voted to make that possible.

Alen Grayson is in the House

than West's previous district, which is why he decided to run there rather than his original district. Redistricting was a bit more fair this year because FL passed a ballot initiative in 2010 to reduce the control of redistricting in the state legislature. So it would appear his calculations were wrong. I persuaded by republican ex-husband to vote for Murphy even though I couldn't move him off of Romney.

that we could have taken the House back too last night?

I really think that there was a shot to do that - but that the Dems didn't seem to put an emphasis on trying to accomplish that. I think if that thought was put out there by the Dems through the run up to Nov. 6th - that we could have taken the House back. We displaced some really bad people last night - like Walsh and West - I think we could have displaced more of them - if we really put our mind into doing that.

We need to really work that angle in 2014 and give back the House to PBO. I think if the Repugs don't work on a bi-partisan basis over the next two years and they keep stonewalling PBO - that they will shoot themselves in the foot and lose the House.

It's just too bad that we weren't able to do this for PBO now in 2012 and that he'll have to suffer through two more years of Repugnaciousness.

Besides, the campaign for 2014 starts today. We can take them back then. Democrats should do the same thing that Pukes did in controlling local party bosses and appointments. We need to run liberal progressives who are unashamed of the truth, and then tell that truth to voters. Yesterday proved that voters do not have "an enthusiasm gap", and they are listening.

Thom Hartmann has talked about this before. Maybe I can find a link to it.

Bill Foster returns to the House!! Robert Dold is gone and Walsh now has more time to be a better deadbeat dad.

I'm in the 8th and feeling a lot better about things this morning.
