And no one sees it did it happen?
That's where we are with Democrats' messaging. I'm getting really tired of the criticism of Democratic messaging when there are enormous pipelines of right-wing messaging polluting political discourse for decades and no alternative getting OURS out.
This George Santos thing is just the latest. Apparently it WAS put out there before the election and ignored by the anything except a small local paper?
So even with the best messaging and candidates what do we do with no one putting it out there?

(36,001 posts)The rw has been very successful in getting people to hate Democrats.
If these voters were smart, they wouldnt buy into this, but theyre not that sophisticated about the ways of disinformation and propaganda.
Certainly there have to be changes with rw radio.

(26,098 posts)Criticizing Democratic messaging and insinuating Democratic candidates are bad and the reason Republicans win because both sides are corrupt and immoral, say things like (from a "Democrat" ):
"It is just really wild to a person who works in a corrupt institution which is what Congress is and to try to be a normal person surrounded by so much decay and moral emptiness, that frankly transcends party, is very difficult."
And: "What is even the difference between a Democrat and a Republican?"
And so much more. Have proof of corruption? Give it. Otherwise "Enough is enough."
Who stills thinks both sides are the same?

(15,574 posts)One thing that's missing when people complain about Democratic messaging is that being as effective at messaging as Republicans perhaps requires being as dishonest and manipulative as Republicans.
Can Democrats actually be Democrats while messaging like Republicans do?
Sensational lies can be very effective, but we shouldn't do that.
Appealing to people's basest instincts can be very effective, but we shouldn't do that.
Touting simplistic solutions to complicated problems can be very effective, but we shouldn't do that.
