Halperin and Steele are beating that drum on Alex Wagner. Not one person points out how much he tried to get these people to work with him first term and they just decided not to play. Is it somehow essential that a blind eye be turned to this fact as we move into the next four? If that is ignored and the rightwing is given an out, there will be no progress of any sort.

(2,781 posts)having secret meetings, Repub-only caucuses, etc. They have NOTHING to stand on to accuse Obama of doing anything close. It's their same old double-standard bullshit that they do on EVERYTHING. If one of their guys, or some televangelist, is caught with drugs, prostitutes, etc., well uh, dang, let's sweep that under the rug, but if it's on our side, we're Demon Spawn.

We're still on the wrong track and with a republican House there's no chance of changing it, even if the President wanted to, which he doesn't.
