the cutest thing I saw last night - started the tears...

when the Obama family came out on the stage and were waving and greeting the crowd, youngest daughter tapped on Dad's hip to remind him to wave to the people in the stand behind him. sooo cute, and to my sleepy, happy mind a typical DEMOCRATIC gesture - always thinking about other people.

in a good way. She was so cute in how she did that, and he did turn around and wave!

You could even see her mouth "Behind you."

She also looked all pre-teen embarrassed to be talking to her Dad. It was hilarious.

as well. Although it was a small gesture, it is subtle confirmation that Barack and Michelle are raising two lovely girls with real family values that includes thinking of others. I'm not going to say a Republican child wouldn't have done the same thing but I do think it speaks softly about the values the Obamas are passing onto their children.

I'm glad to read about others picking up on this as I thought it was a very sweet moment.
