(17,064 posts)That none of the GOP primary candidates are likely to fill. All but Huntsman are too batshit crazy to capture moderates, and Huntsman is too reasonable for the base. Plus, no way the GOP would nominate another Mormon.
Jeb is probably the leading candidate for GOP leadership, but even he comes with baggage. Not only his own skeletons, but can you see Poppy and W actively campaigning for him? I can't... that would just remind voters of previous R presidential failures, plus the horror of a Bush dynasty. Not to mention, Jeb winning Florida can no longer be taken for granted.
