I now fully place lazy non-downticket voters in the same category as Nader voters from 2000.
Congrats.

POSSIBLY a Recall for NON-feasance - keep her busy for a while, draw attention to what she's NOT doing.
MAYBE scare her enough politically to actually participate in the DEM process instead of holding up her hair in the general vicinity of Democracy.
Who else?

(45,984 posts)Two of her last three elections have been tight, and she pretty was forced to buy this one. She outspent her opponent 12:1 and won by less that half a percent. t won't be too much longer and she'll be toast.

Less than or equal to .5% Vote count difference (not percentage-based), Varies by number of votes cast
Minnesota has two forms of recounts with a close election trigger, an "automatic recount" and a "required recount." For automatic recounts, the appropriate canvassing board must conduct a recount (unless the losing candidate declines), while a required recount does not proceed unless requested by the respective candidate. Automatic recounts apply to statewide federal office, state constitutional office, statewide and district judicial offices, congressional office, and state legislative office, while required recounts apply to county, school district, and municipal races.

(17,064 posts)Holding a liberal seat for 20+ years. And 4 of the conservatives are getting up there in age, too. If Dems can hold on to the White House in '16, there's a good chance Roberts would be presiding over 8 somewhat liberal justices.

(20,136 posts)if we could get a young, reliable liberal justice to replace him.
None of the repig members of the SCOTUS will go willingly. They will have to be carried out. Their orders, which they slavishly follow, are firm: "rig America to destroy the Middle Class up to the moment you croak."

(7,887 posts)Let's target the teabaggers and keep them busy fighting for their political lives if possible in order to move them into the chambers to actually VOTE on legislation and DO their fricken jobs.
REMEMBER we got our main goal met and MAYBE there was some down ticket election fraud going on hard to tell.

(15,552 posts)I thought I heard on NPR that there were a lot of teabaggers that lost. I also heard that the Republicans will have to disengage from that nuttery if they are ever going to win resoundly again.
