LBJ finally gets his revenge

Blamed for what became the "southern strategy" of the right, his civil rights move has come around to bite the right in their collective ass. Having used white southerners to gain political strength all the way through the Bush reign, the right is now left with the fewer and fewer angry old white men to show up at polls while the county moves forward into the 21st century.
LBJ is certainly smiling down upon all the people standing for hours in long lines and taking credit for Obama's reelection .

The dems had to go through it and it was very painful.

It's the GOP's turn to have to toss out the racists and start to accept the Latinos and African Americans as well as huge numbers of immigrants from around the world. After this race, many must understand that it has to be done. They can't continue to be the "white old party" forever.

3. Well, it would be nice to see Texas turn blue.

The D gains last night in Texas were far less than the pickups in 2008 and did not come close to making up ground lost in the disasterous election of 2010.

And Texas elected a Tea Bagger to the US Senate last night. For Texas Democrats Nixon's Southern strategy has been a nightmare that has not ended.

A 50 state strategy would be helpful.
