answer: NEVER
A litigation attorney, my wife is a logical, critical thinker; and yet, when she talks about Obama, its about how handsome and charming he is.
Like college kids, women are emotional voters and thinkers; as a result, they are unable to make wise decisions for the benefit of the nation(Yes, there are exceptions). The Founding Fathers knew this, and thats why women were denied the vote until the 1920s and children werent allowed to vote until the 1970s.

(22,336 posts)Young adults 18 to 21 are not children. And women don't vote for Obama because he's handsome and charming. We, like men, care about whether he's a caring, kind person. But charming isn't the deal.
This is sadly not the first right-winger I've heard talk about how they feel women shouldn't be able to vote. I'm sure they'd love to rule on how we should respond to being raped, and on our healthcare, without having to answer to us. But, uh, no.

I'm surprised a logical and critical thinker like her would waste her time with him unless she married him for the money.

(31,849 posts)from this guy's comment ... his worst fear, that he will lose her to President Obama (or another Black man). That is the only way his comment makes sense.
He said that this logical, critical thinker speaks of how handsome and charming (i.e., attractive) President Obama is; but doesn't indicate anywhere that these comments are made in a political or that she has said she is/would vote for President Obama.
Me thinks, he suffers with the dreaded white male malady, "Fearamandingotitis."

(9,904 posts)Been witness to such decisions being made by males based strictly on how a female looks.... We've come a long way and yet, far too many have not joined in this progressive movement.... Sheesh

(31,849 posts)That explains the popularity of $i$ter $arah, among the gop male electorate, as evidenced by a bumperstick I saw in 2008: "I'm voting for the hot chick."

(11,364 posts)I guess if she did, she wouldn't be his wife.
She probably just understands that talking about political matters with him is a waste of time.
