3. The President is going to have to be smart, brave and energetic to put together

a strategy that stops the Republicans from hijacking our legislative branch.

Maybe some executive orders. Maybe some class action law suites against the Republicans for tying up our Congress for 4, now going on 5 years just for the
imagined best interests of the Republican Party.

4. Obama should claim a mandate to do things that the majority of Americans support

per recent polls.... like raising taxes on the richest Americans to reduce the deficit.

I recall a recent Republican president (BUSH???) who claimed a mandate to privatize Social Security which was in no way supported by Americans including members of his own party.
