5. He only had a 5 month sentence. But would this development
make most think he is facing additional charges that may be new or were previously dropped?

6. Sounds like a clever ploy. Small sentence, send him Rikers. He thinks I can last 5 months no big
deal. He finds it is a big deal then prosecutors visit and say now we are looking at additional charges.

7. Unfortunately there was a less hopeful explanation at Daily Beast
“ The Trump Organization has suddenly switched the attorney representing its jailed former chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, after some folks in Trumpworld expressed concerns he was too willing to play ball with the Manhattan District Attorney investigating former President Donald Trump, according to three sources familiar with the situation.
For months, the Trump Organization paid New York City lawyer Nicholas Gravante to represent Weisselberg. But according to two people familiar with the situation who spoke with The Daily Beast on the condition of anonymity, Gravante wasn’t “Trumpy” enough to keep onboard.” Rest of the story at : https://www.thedailybeast.com/why-the-trump-org-suddenly-fired-its-jailed-money-man-allen-weisselbergs-lawyer?ref=home |
