What's not confirmed is whether SHE's the "extra-marital affair". She WAS, however, Patraeus' biographer and had EXTENSIVE "access" to him. She wrote a book .... that's VERY complimentary. She's former Army.

Just speculation on my part but if this woman is the "mistress" and she had access to Patraeus' email/computer, it would make sense that she is being investigated for leaking certain information. Whether or not she did any of this (mistress or leaker) is yet to be confirmed.

Maybe he was so wrapped up in a love triangle gone haywire, that he really did fuck things up in his job as Director of the CIA.
