Those were NOT the millionaires or people in the 1% standing in those long lines for hours.

(657 posts)Too tedious. That's why they pay big money at the fund raisers, so they can con ordinary people to vote for their guy.

(1,773 posts)but in the past year, I donated money to the side I used to vote against.
Tea Partiers are nuts.
I guess what really galvanized me was watching Bloomberg in NYC during Occupy.
He annoyed the holy living shit out of me and I mailed my first leftist donation right then,
and I fucking sent him an email telling him that I would withdraw all money from the banking system
(and I did, too, motherfucker) and would donate to leftists until I see something change.

(22,380 posts)I made it a point to drive by the rich people's areas. Hardly any lines. They had enough machines.
It means a lot, doesn't it.

(10,942 posts)uniformed standards on early voting and the number of precincts and vote counting machines per capital. But I doubt that will happen as long as republicans have any say.

(10,942 posts)In my blue state I have heard about people standing in line in cities and precincts running out of ballots, but I have not experienced that in my precinct. My longest wait to vote was maybe 10 minutes, once or twice in all the elections that I have voted in.
