Watch these four agonizing videos of Chris Hedges at Rockford College and his stance on the Iraq War and tell me that Chris Hedges was a promoter of the Iraq War. Hedges actually lost his job at the New York Times over his stance on the Iraq War.

(1,734 posts)Once Chris Hedges spoke out against Obama, that's all some people need to see. It's classic in-group / out-group thinking. Instead of evaluating Hedges' argument on its own merits against President Obama's, some people around here ONLY care about supporting Democrats no matter what they say or do. Facts don't matter. Anything that points out Obama's center-right politics is met with ad hominem attacks, propaganda, and outright lies.

I used to love this site when it was more about progressive principles than Democratic politics. I guess DU is only progressive when Democrats are out of power. When they regain power, it's all about party loyalty over principle.
