The way gun forums handle mass shootings

I read post on the two largest gun forums in the country. Mass shootings, including the last one, draws no comment and starts no new threads. They are able to ignore the shootings as if they never happen while continuing to talk about the latest and greatest new toys they have acquired.

In the past, I have seen comments on the news coverage of mass shootings. The gun folk blame the media for reporting massacres as being attacks on their gun rights. To report a shooting is part of the far left "coming for their guns."

Reporting the shooting is worse than the shooting....

3. Honestly, it's not better on liberal forums either.

Reddit has a liberal gun sub where they worship guns just as strongly as the MAGA idiots and they celebrate whenever a judge strikes down gun laws. The only difference is they think they need guns to stand up to the MAGA terrorists and insurrectionists.

Our society has a sick obsession with guns.

Why should they post about the Mass Shooting of the Day?

It's all about them, you know. My guns, my rights.

It is accepted as a normal circumstance, and it further their beliefs that they should always be armed.

Not necessarily gun forums, but guns are a frequent topic. When the shooter is a minority or is undocumented, they blame that entire group. When the shooter was white they blame it on drug use, mental illness, or any other thing that does not include "normal people" like them.
