Austerity starves economies.

This "Grand Bargain" is about much, much more than Social Security and Medicare, although Americans should be massing in Washington right now over those particular planned lootings alone. It is about embracing broad, planned starvation of our economy, malignant cuts that feed the obscenely wealthy while destroying millions of human beings and slowing economic growth.

It is time to reject the vicious LIE that broad austerity measures are good for any of us. Austerity is not the equivalent of eating your nutritious peas. It starves nations and grows a predatory system that is eating us alive.
