To those constantly pushing the "extremists on both sides" meme, can you please name the mass-shooters who have been identified as extreme leftists?
Can you kindly reveal the identity of RW law-makers who have received death threats from liberals, or have had their family members threatened?
Can you provide the names of Republican congressmen/senators whose homes have been invaded by hammer-wielding progressives who attacked their spouses?
Can you show us the videos of left-wingers parading around in clownish regalia while awaiting JFK Jr. to come back from the dead in order to run for VP?
Can you identify the leftists who have claimed that Republicans kidnap babies and then eat them?
Can you name the Republican judges who have had envelopes of 'white powder' mailed to their offices?
Can you show us the social media posts by Democratic gun owners who are declaring their intent to "take out" Republicans?
Can you show us video footage of leftists marching with tiki-torches while chanting "Jews will not replaces us"?
Can you name the Democrats who have been convicted of crimes connected with participating in the January 6th insurrection?
Of course you can't.
The popular response from Republicans seems to be that mass-shooters and those who promote violence are simply 'mentally ill'. If that's the case, it's hard to deny that all of these mentally ill people are - coincidentally, I'm sure - right-wingers.
There are always 'extremists' on both sides of any issue. But only one side's extremists are engaging
in violence and downright lunacy - and we all know which 'side' that is.

Metal Bats and hammers seem to be favorite weapons. Thugs one and all. I do not care for the far left either, but they are not criminals.

No matter how hard they try to make it about politics.

Yeah, we are so damned extreme. 😑

(6,143 posts)That word accurately described my post. So. I don't know where the cognitive dissonance comes in. Interesting. So many people are hoodwinked by right wing talking points.

Donning a white coat and prescribing over-the-counter tablets may be legitimized by that diploma on the wall, but it doesn't help the patient who will die if that is the best treatment offered.
Much of the domestic US media is rapidly moving into the "you are part of the problem" area. The fourth estate was supposed to be part of the solution.

(8,361 posts)When I listen to msm talk about the latest mass shooting, how many time do I hear a follow up on how the senators and congressmen in that state receive x amount of money from the gun industry funneled to them by the NRA? None.
We know the roots of our problems, we have for some time now. Republicans are fine with the death toll, a tragic reality.
