20. If they are acting in "A Tuna Christmas," they are acting in a play which

is normally presented by all the roles played be two men, or possibly three men, just as "Quilters" is normally presented with all the parts played by women.

When i was working at a small college as the person in charge of the theater department's costumes, we put on both "Greater Tuna" and Quilters, and we used actors of both genders in both. But that is not the norm OIt was just that at a small college we really needed to give the most possible people the opportunity to shine.

I don't think "Quilters is available on video, whih is a shame, but "Greater Tuna has long been on VHS so is probably now available on DVD. The only implication of the costuming is that the playwright (and original director) wanted to keep the cast as small as possible, and that's clear in performance.

God knows Republicans are the world's worsthypocrites - but if this is a Tuna production that's not what's happening here.
