CEO of Papa John's says employees' hours will likely be cut due to ObamaCare

The CEO of popular pizza chain Papa John's says his employees may face reduced hours and he expects his business costs to rise because President Obama's re-election most likely insures the president's health care reform law will be implemented in full.

NaplesNews.com reports John Schnatter made the remarks to a small group at Edison State College's Collier County campus the day after the election.

Schnatter, who supported Mitt Romney in the election, said all Americans having health insurance under ObamaCare is a good, but estimates the change will cost Papa John's $5 million to $8 million annually.

Schnatter estimated that these rising costs could adversely affect his workers. Since only full-time employees working 30 hours or more must be covered under the new law, he said he expects franchise owners will be forced to cut employees' hours because they can't afford the costs of health insurance plans.

whose Mama didn't buy him a shiny new toy.

He's taking a wrecking ball to his own business. Fewer workers aren't going to do the work of more workers, he's already got skeleton staff in his shitty restaurants.

In addition, he's pissing off a lot of customers. Pizza Hut is better folks, and they deliver in a lot of areas.

This is the guy who lives in a 40,000 square foot palace in Louisville. He's the kind of new money that always ends up dying dead broke.

All these asses threatening their employees just goes to show their character or lack of. He among many other chains only give their employees 30 hrs to avoid paying for hc anyway. If Romney won would he be giving them a raise or more hours with his big tax cut, I don't think so. They are a bunch of greedy bastards who are sore losers.

take a sh*t kicking from now on. Just take the loss of DU folks and the 10 rule will do the rest. Meaning we tell 10 people and they will tell 10 more each. Watched this happen with one of the big box home stores last year after a ad debacle on T.V.. Can you say ouch.

who is giving away 2 million free pizzas? (rhetorical question).

Corporate greed personified. Would it be so bad that his franchises would have to increase the cost of their pizzas by the estimated 11 - 14 cents? Instead, let's cut hours so that these people don't get health insurance. Holy sh*t these people are bastards.

Even if the guy felt the need to raise the price of his shitty pizza, or lay people off, or cut hours, and even if it WAS due to the President's policies, why would he announce to the world that he was doing this because of Obamacare or whatever? Why not just make the moves? Why attach the name of his product and business to this petulant shit?

I mean, the guy just got the news that 52 percent of the country supports the President. Does he think his customers are not among that number? Do these guys not fear pissing off half their customers?

Is he going after the Chick-Fil-A people? At the expense of a potentially much larger chunk of his business?
