Grover Norquist: Obama Won By Convincing Voters Romney Was a "Poopy Head." Seriously.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2012/11/12/grover_norquist_calls_mitt_romney_a_poppy_head.html
<snip>

Anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist this morning delivered what just may be the most bizarre quote of this still young election post-mortem season, suggesting that President Obama managed to win re-election by successfully portraying Mitt Romey as a "poopy head."

The Huffington Post flags the no doubt soon-to-be hashtag-generating quote:

"The president was committed; elected on the basis that he was not Romney and Romney was a poopy head and you should vote against Romney and he won by two points," Norquist said on CBS' "This Morning" Monday. "But he didn't make the case that we should have higher taxes and higher spending, he kind of sounded like the opposite."

The Americans for Tax Reform chief's comments came during a string of appearances today on morning news programs, where he attempted to push back against the idea that the American voters handed the president a mandate last week and where he went on the offensive against a possible fiscal cliff deal that would include tax hikes.

Bye bye Grover

in some degree since Reagan.

And incredibly inspiring that Americans rose up and overthrew them, in a big way!

I have been waiting for this all my life. I find nothing more inspiring than lines of determined voters - dammit it all waiting for 6+ hours - to make justice ring.

In our lifetime, folks, IN OUR LIFETIMES!

If I knew how to embed a video I'd do it for you. It's worth watching. The guy came up with this no tax pledge in the seventh grade, unless the Daily Show put words into his mouth, the Republican Party's foundation for governing was an idea by a seventh grader.

The funniest thing is that intelligent 7th graders understand the basic economic needs of different socioeconomic groups, and the need for taxes. Many will even understand the philosophy of progressive taxation & its fairness.

Most people get over the "MINE! It's all MINE!" stage about 2nd grade.

Norquist expresses skepticism over Obama’s promise to reach out to Republicans.

“Obama has gotten to be old and he has grey hair and he has never sat down and civilly talked to people who don’t agree with him in his life,” he says.

since Obama kept pointing out that Romney's and Ryan's ideas of trickle down nonsense were being dictated by Norquist and his pledge?

Norquist practically called Romney a brain dead automaton who will do as he's told: “All we have to do is replace Obama. … We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go…. We just need a president to sign this stuff….Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States…. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.”

We are witnessing the complete mental/nervous breakdown of the "brains" of the GOP.

I really do think it's safe to say, our long national nightmare is over when it comes to these crazies ever getting power again. We've won.

What is with this guy? Back in December he was sure that the Rs would keep the house, take the senate, and the white house. In fact, the R president only had to have 4 fingers to sign the legislation given to him by the R house and senate. Well, Grover you were wrong. No senate and no puppet president.

The other night on CNN with Piers Morgan he and Robert Reisch were discussint the tax rates and pledge. Grover seemed upset and mentioned that this is not a kingdom.

But Grover is the king of the no increase in taxes pledge and he is king of the Rs in congress. What does he have on them? What prevents these R congressman (and women) to be statesmen?
