Baptist Pastor: Obama Is NOT The Antichrist-The Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers

We dodged a bullet here.

A Texas megachurch pastor recently claimed that President Barack Obama's re-election victory would lead to the rise of the Antichrist.

Robert Jeffress, senior pastor at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, made remarks on Sunday before the election that should Obama win, his victory would lead to the reign of the Antichrist.

"I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he's not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes," said Jeffress.

"President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."

they have, what, maybe 4 themes they haul out for their emotional outrages?

abortion/patriarchy/the rapture/ the antichrist.

Sheesh;

My advice to them: if you REALLy are a MAN of God (you rarely hear women
spew this trash.. except Michelle BAchman)-

IF.. then open up that Bible you're always beating people with,
and read what it really says...

There's a whole lot more there than this anti-christ shit.
(I believe there are only 4 passages that use the term 'anti-christ'
and it has nothing to do with what they think it does..)-

From someone who has read the bible in its original languages.

You fundie guys are really a demented, ill-read, ignorant lot.

They are claiming he should know everything so there you go, the republicans must think he is God. After all, some claim he caused Sandy to strike the eastern coast and he should have already lead us across the Jordan River. Even the Israeli was lost in the desert for 40 years. Continue the path you are on Mr. President.

are closer in type to the two witnesses with an untimely end who were condemned by the antichrist.

But I don't hold with Revelation. The chapters were rearranged.

As far as I know, the rapture comes before the Anti-Christ, so isn't that sort of irrelevant to the "saved"?

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

This line sounds there could be a bunch of Them. Couldn't find the line about poll numbers in the bible though.

They're all about telling us that Jesus is coming back soon, but then they also are fighting the coming of the anti-Christ. I thought it was more or less supposed to happen together - All the good Christians raptured into the sky, and the rest of us stuck here on earth for a 1000 years under the rule of the AC?
