Read years ago Walmart was all for this since a decent amount of their customers are on Food Stamps. Also read since Walmart paid their employees so little in some states they qualify for them.

Raise the miminum wage reduces the amount of people on food stamps plus increases tax revenue.

That would not surprise me. I have not stepped foot in a Walmart for almost 15 years due to the fact they do not offer employees health insurance and pay them so little.

is run, funded by the states and administered by the counties was one of the programs that ronald raygun shoved onto the states saying states and local government can do a better job. i support the total expansion of medicaid ,medical in ca , food stams , etc . except that when those idiots scream we need to corral spending, the rs always hit the social programs .

Guaranteed markets and demand for their products.

Expanding SNAP puts money into rural America. The GOP is stupid to fight it. But a lot of their constituents are too stupid to realize they're getting fucked over (I'm looking at you, Uncle Bob on your hog farm, who voted for Trump and then cried when trade with China got blown up, but said you will still vote for him again)
