We should have kept it Armistice Day

Nothing against veterans, but I like the idea of an ironic holiday.

We stopped celebrating the end of World War I because it is ironic that the "war to end war" ended up being numbered as the first in a series of wars... like Rocky movies.

But I like the idea of a day to reflect on our absurd conceits.

It could be kind of like a national Yom Kippur... a day to atone for national hubris.
