Social media posts by officer Chaz Foy were deemed so offensive that Marion police chief Angela Haley immediately fired him, reported the Indianapolis Star.
I do not condone this type of behavior and will not tolerate it, Haley said in a statement.
Foy was terminated Wednesday, two days after he was sworn to duty with the department.

Chaz Foy started working for the Marion Police Department on Monday, according to a Facebook post by the department, but was fired on Wednesday, Police Chief Angela Haley said in a statement.
Haley said some racist posts on the officers personal Facebook account were brought to her attention on Tuesday. After she reviewed them, she said, she determined they were not in keeping with the standards of the Marion Police Department.
I do not condone this type of behavior and will not tolerate it, Haley added.
Marion-based news outlet Channel 27 News and Entertainment for Grant County said it had initially received the officers posts and forwarded them to the police department on Tuesday night.
In one screenshot shared by Channel 27, an alleged post from June 1, 2022, showed Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on George Floyds neck.
The caption read: With gas hitting 4.89 and climbing, lets all take a moment to appreciate better times.
Another screenshot shows an alleged post made by Foy on April 13, 2021, in which an illustration of a Black man was labeled Martin Looter King.

In the 1920s, the Klan had 250,000 members in Indiana.
There were only 3 million people in Indiana then.

Read the above book by Tim Egan. Absolutely chilling. It describes the rise of the KKK in the 20s, especially in Indiana. DC Stephenson was the leader and he did it all as a grift to enrich himself.
