jeezus has it not been a stressful many years already? I am so happy for President Carter that he did live to see some justice coming the way of the worst president ever, a stain on our country.

Jimmy Carter will always be imo the most underrated president of my lifetime.

President Carter may be too good to take pleasure from it, but for those of us schadenfreudists...
we are blessed to still have the example of President Carter, one of the most admirable Christians in public life, enduring beyond the recent demise of one of the (mildly put) least admirable examples of a public self-proclaimed Christian.

President Carter is not a vindictive person, so I doubt he will take any pleasure from this, but he can rest easier knowing that justice will win in the end.

I blame him. When he pardoned Nixon, he essentially said that the president was above the law. He was worried that an indictrment for Nixon would traumatize the nation. Sorry, Jerry. Kennedy's assassination traumatized the country. But Nixon ? There would have been a clamor, but we'd have gotten over Nixon indicted.

Instead, Ford set the stage for a man like trump to walk all over our Constitution and our laws.
