Is Putin commiting the largest Mass Genocide in history?

If you look at it, it goes a long way and a lot of these groups are listed as having one or two survivors.

Russia is huge and very diverse but you don't really hear about that do you?

It is quite likely that the war in Ukraine is being used as a way to commit ethnic cleansing.

When you look at the list and see how few members are left of so many cultures, one has to ask how many are already gone?

I have not yet digested or come to terms with this. I just discovered it. I don't expect to sleep well tonight.

Maybe this isn't the largest genocide in individuals dead, but as far as cultures destroyed this may be a record.

Most likely the worst in a generation but don’t forget about Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan and others where genocide was certainly a goal. Russia has proven to be just as barbaric as others. I am praying for Ukraine to somehow find the victory they so deserve 🇺🇦

They are both against functional democracy and the GOP unification behind not offending racists and hiding racist history give them even more common ground.

Our own history of ethnic cleansing is something the GOP wants to erase from the books. Of course they would side with Putin.

7. The Holdemor Stalin imposed on Ukraine and southern Russia was worse.

But this is definitely one of Putin's serious war crimes. Can't say if it's the worst or not, but it's certainly in the top five of his various actions against cultures and people he sees as being in his way.

He's not a true believer. To him, this is just another thing he has to do to stay in his plush Kremlin office.
