Feinstein says Petraeus went to Libya and his trip report has disappeared - UPDATE

Update, Andrea repeated this clip of Diane Feinstein talking about the report:

"I believe there was a trip report - someone told me he has read it - NOW SHE IS TOLD THERE IS NOT TRIP REPORT - if we have to go to the floor of the senate with a supoena we'll do it.

------

Someone saw it but congressmen haven't been able to get a copy of his "fact checking" report.
She thinks it's a matter of peeling an onion. She is sure they'll talk to Petreaus in closed door hearings.

What about Broadwell's classified information? Feinstein wants to know more and calls it a confused situation - she was active military - army reservist and a journalist at the same time, those things don't go together. It's against the law to have classified info on ones computer. They may call her as well to testify, things "change day by day"

Goal is to see if there is a national security connection or intelligence failure. She wants to know the decision making process and why the initial info about Libya didn't get corrected more quickly.

On msnbc with Andrea Mitchell now.

I only wish the media and others would have done this much scrutiny after 9/11/01.

that was an attempt to swing the election with a world political event a la ronny raygun making a deal with the Iranians in 1980.

If Democrats have any spine on this, many heads should roll.

IMHO, it was too convenient for Netanyahu to become involved in our election.

I was hoping that someone would pick up on the "it's against the law to have classified information on one's computer."

The previous stories said the FBI concluded that Petraeus did not send it to her, so they dropped it. Dropped it? WTF?

Go, DiFi. I hope they question Cantor and all the other little piggies.

She has clearly not dropped the national security issue as regards Ms. Broadwell. I thought it also interesting that she read off a list of the terrorist events in Benghazi leading up to the attack. She was basically ridiculing the CIA.

This seems an opportunity to clean out all of the neocons and Republican operatives left behind to fuck with the Obama administration.

and now no one can find it. And this is surprising? We are talking about the Central Intelligence Agency here folks. Their job is secrets, they do it better than anyone.
The Republicans want to claim the President "knew" about General Petreaus and Bengazi. Uh, yeah, ok, if you say so. The President knew what the agency WANTED him to know, and nothing more, Anyone who thinks otherwise is either a fool or doesn't understand how the CIA works.

someone got hold of the report of that safe house and then decided it will be a good idea to leak the report to the repugs and repugs being repugs seize on what they thought was a gem of an information.

We now have an Ambassador with three others who are dead because someone wanted to score political points and most importantly put a puppet in power desperately.

was saying that the CIA works for the President and it is inappropriate for congress to think they work for them... this will be revealing in terms of who really has oversight.

It is possible that Obama Admin. doesn't want Feinstein to chomp on this too hard. The elites will be made to feel uncomfortable and it may not net anything definitive, but then again it may.
