that said, it will make for a messy special election and we know exactly who will try to run AGAIN.

He is far less hawkish than most people who have held that position, while he may not be as much as a dove as I would like to see in that role he is definitely better than the militaristic assholes we have had in there in the past. His Senate safe is pretty safe to remain in Dem hands as well, of course after the Scott Brown debacle we can't take anything fo granted but as long as they recruit a decent candidate it shouldn't be too difficult to hold on to that seat.
