Dick Morris breaks his silence, claims his prediction was cheerleading for a doomed campaign

"I think that there was a period of time when the Romney campaign was falling apart, people were not optimistic, nobody thought there was a chance of victory and I felt that it was my duty at that point to go out and say what I said."

-- Dick Morris, in an interview on Fox News, explaining why he predicted a landslide for Mitt Romney in the presidential election.

This reeks of bullshit. Morris makes this fantastic landslide prediction, but the election results leave everyone in the GOP "shell-shocked"...except, of course, Dick Morris, who knew the campaign was fucked all along.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

I've always enjoyed the circus.

Not that I believe a single word this fat ass says. But this is what groupthink all about. Everyone believes in the same thing so no one would dare challenging the basic dogma.

Shudder to think that this approach, this way of thinking could have been in the White House. Last known groupthink led to the Bay of Pigs and, one suspects, the invasion of Iraq.
