From the New York Times (11/13/2012):

Susan E. Rice is the United States ambassador to the United Nations. Before taking that office in 2009, she was an influential adviser on foreign policy to President Obama during his 2008 campaign.

Ms. Rice spent eight years at the White House and the State Department under President Clinton. She was a member of the National Security Council staff, first as director for international organizations and peacekeeping, and then as a special assistant to the president and senior director for African affairs. A protégé of Madeleine K. Albright when Ms. Albright was secretary of state during the Clinton years, Ms. Rice catapulted over more veteran officials in 1997 when she was given the job as assistant secretary of state for African affairs. Ms. Rice has special expertise in the problems posed by weak and failed states, global poverty and transnational security threats.

She also has had experience with Al Qaeda — Ms. Rice was the top diplomat for African issues during the 1998 terrorist bombings of embassies in Tanzania and Kenya.

Now, compare that to Huntsman.

If you don't stand up to these sexist, racist, and politically motivated creeps, then you are letting them win.

Let's allow them to block or vote down her nomination. Let's let the whole country see their pathetic arguments. Let's put the blame on them for holding up our foreign policy and national security.
I want this fight.

ON EDIT: PS: This president has no "capital" with Republicans in Congress. They will oppose everything he does or says and every person he nominates (unless it is one of theirs). Unless he nominates another Petraeus, they're not going to go along.
