(12,449 posts)OTA broadcast Fox stations are nothing like the fox cable network, I watch local Fox stations all the time for shows like Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, MLB games, etc, they also do a pretty good job at the local news.

(2,491 posts)in my view watching a fox station becasue they have good programing is like going to chik fil a becasue you like the chicken despite their objectional politics.
no thanks. pull their license

(12,449 posts)has explained that the FCC denying a renewal of their OTA license is not going to happen and I'm not going to stop watching some of my favorite shows on OTA Fox stations for the simple fact that I can't watch them on any other station.
62. Fox News Channel doesn't have an FCC license
The petition isn't aimed at Fox News. It's aimed at the broadcast stations that are owned by Fox and are licensed by the FCC. In theory, the FCC could find that Fox lacks the requisite "character" to be a broadcast station licensee based on Fox News' conduct (even though it can't directly regulate Fox News). But the standard applied by the FCC in "character" cases requires egregious, criminal behavior by the station ownership -- drug dealing, murder, sex crimes, etc.
So the petition will be denied.
You don't want to watch anything on OTA Fox stations, fine, don't, that's your given right and bless you for exercising that right, but I exercise my right to watch or not watch anything I please.

(2,841 posts)I think "response" for the one line, but I'm not sure.
Also, under that it lists another number wanted... is that a repeat of the MB number?
IOW, I would really like to make my feelings known on this subject to the FCC. But I definitely need some help in filling out this form! Geesh! My retirement forms from the DoD weren't this hard! (LOL)
