If there are any rational Republicans remaining, we should appeal to them to leave the Dark Side.

She could go Indy like Angus King and caucus with us. It wouldn't hurt her electoral chances one bit.

yesterday for the second time. I watched on the senate floor yesterday as she BEGGED LOUDLY for her party to vote yes. She's also pissed at McCain/Graham/Ayotte for demanding a special committee to investigate "bengahzi-gate". http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2012/11/15/15190778-mccain-doesnt-have-time-for-facts-information

It's clear that the Mainers are sick and tired of Republican gridlock. She'll, of course, be offered a handsome bonus by the GOP if she stays, so you'll have to choose between re-election and working for Mainers or the big bucks as a sort severance pay.

Currently, she's just posturing, trying to appear as if she's in the middle, but she's been as filibuster-happy as her colleagues (including outgoing Snowe), and once Turtleman can convince Harry Reid (again) that he won't abuse the filibuster and Reid falls for it, she'll be right back in line with her filibuster-luvin' colleagues, bringing the progressive policies for this country back to a grinding halt.

I have very little faith in Collins. She should either denounce the GOP and become an Independent and caucus with the Democrats, or she should be retired in two years.

Given his positions, I would say, "No!"

But his recent rhetoric says maybe.

(I agree. It is a long shot.)
