McCain missed the committee briefing because he was trying to undermine the committee

McCain is a weasel. His office confirmed he would be at the Homeland Security briefing today. But somehow he missed it.

Critics have chided McCain for demanding more answers on Benghazi while missing an opportunity to learn more from the intelligence community. McCain's office said today that he would have attended.

So McCain's office knew about the briefing, confirmed McCain was going to be there, and yet he missed it. And why did he miss it?

"McCain was joined by Sens. Graham and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) at the Wednesday news conference announcing their resolution for a Select Committee during the time when the Benghazi briefing occurred."

McCain as usual was acting in his own personal interest. He wants to start a special committee. But he already is on a committee investigating Benghazi.

What does Susan Collins think about that?

She told NBC News that she believes McCain's call for a special Congressional committee to look into the Benghazi matter is not necessary, and he would be a valuable member of the Homeland Security Committee's own investigation. Collins is the top Republican on the committee.

McCain didn't simply miss the briefing because of a scheduling conflict. He was busy undermining the committees that are already investigating Benghazi.

McCain was on the Senate floor demanding more information while the committee meeting was being held!
