The damn republicans. Ever since Reagan they've been repeatedly writing checks their sorry asses have never been able to cash.
For the last 3 decades I've heard all their happy horse shit about how if we just cut taxes on the rich and get rid of "oppressive" regulations all sorts of wonderful things will happen. Like "trickle down" economics. "The rising tide will lift all boats" and blah blah blah. Yeah,, that kind of "stuff".Just fill the buckets of the rich with all the stuff they want and stuff will overflow down to all of us.
Good gawd I don't know how many subtly different shades of gold paint they've used to cover that turd with every election cycle, but still the same old pile of horse flop and it still stinks just as bad as it ever did.
Bottom line is, they've had had 30 years to deliver on the promise that their mouthpieces kept regurgitating over and over every election cycle and they have failed to deliver any of it. All we have gotten from them is robber baron, union busting economic terrorism and hateful divisiveness.
If they don't like the way solutions to the problems they've created are being approached now they can go pound sand in their ass for all I care. They had a golden opportunity to prove that their philosophy works and they fucked it up with their unbridled greed. Hopefully we will keep winning elections and keep marginalizing these tools until they are finally laughed off the stage.

Those "job creators" need to be rounded up and sent to Zen Boot Camp for retooling.

(82,383 posts)they really have no problem with the "stuff." They just want us to have less of it so they can have more and for us to believe they deserve it more.
