the entire media has to hover over this like it's the damn Super Bowl, World Series and Oscars combined.
That's about how many people in the United States have signed the petition to have their state secede from the union, which now comes from all 50 states.
From what I last read it's about 100,000 people and there are 311million people in this country.
This is like the new birther movement. A few batshit crazies taking over for the rest of the country and we have to put up with this annoying crap on our nightly news.
I understand that this may perhaps make one human interest store you relegate to the closing minutes of your show but that's about it.
I mean hell millions across this country camped out in various cities protesting the impact of Banks & Wall Street on our economy and the ONLY way Occupied Wall Street movements could even break the news was if some random person not even related to OWS took a piss on a nearby doorstoop by the OWS group.
Our Media absolutely sucks!!!!

(95,337 posts)I mean I am glad that there is MSNBC out there that for the most part counters what is happening in Fox. But we honestly shouldn't NEED a network to counter Fox.
Thing is this, if Fairness Doctrine was re-enacted I think MSNBC would do a better job of following suit whereas Fox would just pack up shop.

I do not believe you can name a deliberate instance of a liberal talk show host on MSNBC lying.
There is no comparison between the two sides.
In addition, there are people on MSNBC that actually present another view.
Fox is an extension of the republican party. MSNBC is NOT an extension of the Democrats, in fact, if you listen to CNBC, you will hear a huge right wing slant
If you are really looking for balance, I would suggest that Bloomberg network tries.
