New Trend? Businesses Publicly Assigning Costs To Anything That Raises Their COB

If Denny's and Papa John's are going to put an "Obamacare surcharge" on their products, and if they are going to publicly disclose and call out those surcharges on their menus etc, shouldn't they be doing the same for any entity that raises their cost of doing business?

Why not add a 5¢ surcharge every time gas prices go up? Call it the Exxon/Mobil surcharge.

Why not add a 10¢ surcharge whenever utility rates go up. Call it the ConEd or SoCal Edison surcharge.

Why not add 50¢ surcharge when your insurance rates go up? Call it the State Farm surcharge.

There's no end to it.
