MSNBC has been hitting the right note on the Republican sourgrape inability to lock in on reality that they lost the election on their own merits.

THAT should be the low bar for impeachment talk.
I want some one in the media to say that out loud.

(22,897 posts)But he can also have a sharp tongue and biting commentary. He has quite deftly taken repukes down so smoothly they didn't know what hit them! He has also rebuked SE Cupp (sp?) but in a teasing manner that I don't think was so teasing after all. But it didn't matter because she didn't get it anyway.

(50,340 posts)I detested Rattigan but he, unlike Cupp, knew it was a rebuke and was suitably unhappy, lol.
I didn't realize he worked with DR-- I am so glad he has his own program. I never miss it.

(50,340 posts)Rattigan was replaced by the simpering show, The Cycle. Many here wanted MSNBC to extend Bashir's show to two hours to include the hour before his 5:00 pm show.
Edited to change the times as it was 4:00 and 5:00 eastern not 3:00 and 4:00 as I first stated.
Beginning June 25, Martin Bashir slides an hour forward as he replaces Ratigan at 4pmET. MNSBC is developing a new show for the 3pmET timeslot.

(50,340 posts)and am still hoping for it as I don't think The Cycle is a ratings-getter, quite the opposite I bet.
Barring that, it would be great if they did repeat his show during the schedule, it is well worth seeing twice for sure.

(50,340 posts)He's been on MSNBC since 2003, during the bush regime's reign so the political climate was very different and maybe the three hour show was part of the deal with him.

(22,897 posts)I have watched MSNBC off and on since 2006 and am not familiar with the network's history. I used to listen to Air America and 'ran into' Randi Rhoades on the radio a few days ago. Glad she's still around.

(129,020 posts)which starts at 6:00 am ET. I never really watched that show as I'm usually on my way to work at that time of the morning but when I've been home during this election season, I checked it out and also listened on SiriusXM which will run the audio of MSNBC. I found that they were mostly re-airing the 1st hour's segment, with some live bits here and there including at the end as they segued into Schmuck Toad.

(129,020 posts)about that Petraeus hearing just like a rethug would. He acted like a lunatic who thinks he is some hard-hitting gumshoe "journalist" but he isn't. Al he did was spit out rethug talking points. In fact he spent a portion of one segment continuing to praise Rmoney above and beyond what anyone else was willing to do and acted shocked that the pathological liar reverted back to his used-car salesman schtick with his donors.
Tweety's ass needs to go. He is well past expiration date. It's ironic his man-crush on JFK misses the fact that Johnson was the one who actually SIGNED all the Civil Rights & Voting Rights legislation.
