I apologize if I sound like I'm gushing, but...
Parks and Recreation is my favorite sitcom currently on the air, and Amy Poehler is one of the funniest people on the planet. For a few seasons, they've been setting up the fact that her peppy civil servant Leslie Nope has a obsession for our VP that walks a fine line between "glowing admiration" and "schoolgirl crush." (I happen to know some people on DU share her affection, but anyway... )
Even if I wasn't a Democrat and a fan of Biden's, I'd still think this was one of the most hilarious cameos of a politician on a sitcom I've ever seen. Joe may be the butt of a lot of jokes, but he's an awful good sport.

(5,756 posts)I can't imagine Romney or Ryan being so self deprecating. So willing to go on a sit-com or Letterman.
Romney and Ryan's asses are so wound tight they'd never have fun with themselves.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons the US people love Obama and Biden. I think we feel we can relate to them.
